Auditions: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Auditions for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be held on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, 2011, in Naperville at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, located at the N.W. corner of Eagle and Jackson Streets (enter from upper level). Auditions for actors in the fourth grade through eighth grade will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-2:30. Auditions for high school actors and above will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2:30-4:00. You only need to attend one day of auditions. Call backs, if necessary, will be held on Monday, October 24th, at 7:00pm.

All those auditioning will be required to sing and participate in a dance/movement audition. Character descriptions are available here.

For the singing portion, a selection from the show demonstrating your vocal range and ability is preferred. An accompanist will be provided. You must supply your own sheet music. There will be no accapella auditions or prerecorded accompaniment.

Rehearsals will generally be scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons, between October 30th and January 4th. A Holiday break will be taken December 22nd through January 2nd. Rehearsals will be daily January 8-11, 13-15 and 17-19. There will be eight performances held January 20-22 and 27-29, with evening performances on Fridays and Saturdays and matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
